59 Chinese Apps Banned: A Boom to Indian Internet Market

Amid the face-off with the Chinese army troops, India is in a state of a two-front war with one being on the Line of Actual Control and the other being the cyber front. In the wake of the martyrdom of 20 Indian soldiers in the Galwan Valley face-off with the Chinese army, on June 15th, 2020, the government of India banned 59 Chinese apps, invoking the data security and national sovereignty concerns. 



Indian government’s Expeditious steps to regulate access to 59 Chinese apps within the country were urged by China's act of moderating access to Indian media websites within its land.
